Farrah Giroux is a teacher of ELs at Westbrook Middle School. Currently, she teaches sheltered-instructional language arts and math classes as well as co-teaching social studies and science classes as the need demands. Her areas of expertise are designing high-impact literacy instruction, and developing math strategies for high stakes EL learners. Farrah has experience teaching both adolescents and adults having gotten her feet wet by teaching adult English learners for several years. Farrah has had the opportunity to teach the Content-Based Curriculum course at the University of Southern Maine for several years which has afforded her the opportunity to share her passion for teaching and learning.
