If you will be joining us at the University of Southern Maine as an undergraduate exchange student for one semester or a full academic year you will need to complete our exchange student application process. Please find the steps outlined below along with any necessary forms.

Fall 2026 Semester Details
- Fall term begins on Monday, August 31st
- Labor Day Holiday: Monday, September 7th
- Fall Break: October 12th and 13th
- Veterans Day Holiday: November 11th
- Thanksgiving Recess: November 25th through November 29th
- Classes end on Friday, December 11th
- Final Exams run from December 12th through the 18th
- Regarding arrival dates/information will be provided shortly
Spring 2027 Semester Details
- Spring term begins on Tuesday, January 19th
- President’s Day Holiday: February 15th
- Spring Break: March 15 – March 19th
- Last day of classes: April 30th
- Final Exams May 1st – 7th
