If you will be joining us at the University of Southern Maine as an undergraduate exchange student for one semester or a full academic year you will need to complete our exchange student application process. Please find the steps outlined below along with any necessary forms.

Fall 2024 Semester Details
- Fall term begins on Tuesday, September 3rd
- Monday, September 2nd is Labor Day (a national holiday) so the campus will be closed
- Classes end on Friday, December 13th
- Final Exams run from December 14th through the 20th
- Students should plan to arrive on the late afternoon/early evening of Wednesday, August 28th or Thursday, August 29th (additional details regarding arrival will be provided shortly)
Spring 2025 Semester Details
- Spring term begins on Tuesday, January 21st
- President’s Day (No Classes) February 17th
- Spring Break: March 17 – March 23rd
- Last day of classes: May 2nd
- Final Exams May 3 – 9th
