Location

The American College of Greece is located on 64 acres in a peaceful suburb called Aghia Paraskevi located 15 minutes outside of Athens. Athens, Greece’s capital and largest city, is the birthplace of democracy and learning. The American College of Greece is Europe’s largest and oldest American college, established in 1875. ACG is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education, and virtually any major can find courses to apply toward graduation. All classes are taught in English.

Academics

Students can take courses from the following schools:

Academic Requirements

A minimum GPA of 2.75 is required for enrollment. Honors enrollment requires a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Academic Terms

  • Fall semester runs from early September to late December including move-in and move-out
    times
  • Spring semester runs from early January to early May including move-in and move-out times
  • ACG also offers two summer sessions starting mid-May to late July

Housing

ACG has a residence complex with fully furnished studios or single- and double-bedroom shared apartments. The student housing has laundry facilities and internet access.

Cost

Students who attend ACG pay a reduced rate for tuition and fees from their standard rates and will pay locally for room and meals. These costs will vary depending on the housing option selected.

The Office of International Programs will provide a budget sheet with a comprehensive estimate of tuition, housing, and personal expenses. Students may use their USM financial aid.

Student Visa

Student visas are required for stays ninety days or longer. ACG has an Office of Residential and International Student Studies that has a dedicated visa application team to support securing the necessary documents. USM’s Office of International Programs will also provide support in ensuring the completion of the required documentation.
