We encourage our Early College students and their school counselors to keep Credits with Purpose in mind as they select courses. Each Pathway gives students a sense of what a particular program, major, or career is like while also allowing them to earn credits for general education courses that can be applied to a wide variety of majors.
Be aware that too many EC credits may interfere with financial aid when students matriculate to a college or university. Taking too many courses that fill general education requirements may limit the student’s ability to be full-time once they get to college, which may limit financial aid eligibility.
