Mike is originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He has lived in Pennsylvania, California, Arizona and Maine. He began working at the University of Southern Maine in 2015 and is currently the academic advisor for all graduate education programs. Mike has over 15 years of experience in education, career development, and advising. He specializes in workforce development and employment training.
Mike attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and received his Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Broadcasting and Mass Media and received his Master’s degree in Adult Education and Training from the University of Phoenix while in Phoenix, Arizona. He has been an instructor teaching effective business communication and adult education theory. Mike also has spent time as a middle school science teacher, a workforce instructor, and a corporate trainer.
Mike is determined to enrich his student’s learning experience at USM, and help them to prepare and achieve their education, career, and life goals. He challenges himself to develop his student’s skills and help inspire them to achieve success and transferability into their future careers. In his spare time, Mike enjoys going to music concerts and sports events, movies, hiking, camping, having a nice meal out, and traveling.
