Writing Assistants help undergraduate and graduate students with many aspects of the writing process, from creating an outline to providing a reader’s perspective on the final draft.
Research Assistance
An important part of being a USM student is engaging in scholarly research. USM Librarians are available to support undergraduate and graduate students’ research every step of the way.

The Learning Commons has numerous spaces on both the Portland and Gorham campuses that USM students can reserve for academic time-on-task in groups, for up to three hours at a time.
