New permits are needed starting July 1.

If you already have a parking account, check the account to see if you have automatic renewal. If so, you don’t need to do a thing.

If you need to purchase or renew a permit for the 2026-2027 academic year, you will need to wait until July 1. Be sure to purchase a permit before parking on campus.

ParkEngage Virtual Parking Permit Information

USM parking requires a virtual permit.

In-person OLLI classes and workshops meet in the Wishcamper Center unless otherwise indicated (GPS address: 44 Bedford St., Portland, ME 04101). The OLLI Office is located in room 210.

OLLI students must park in the USM parking garage attached to the Abromson Community Education Center, located on Bedford Street.
The parking garage will automatically scan your license plate to ensure you are registered with ParkEngage. There will be no exit gate.
ADA parking is available in both garages. Only OLLI students with an ADA license plate or an ADA hangtag can park in ADA spaces.

Under “permit category,” select “visitor”
Under “permit type,” if you want the $10 monthly option, choose “Visitor Daytime;” if you want the $50 annual pass, choose “OLLI”
Enter up to 5 vehicle plate #’s
Fill in name, email, phone, address
Create password: Password must contain 8-15 characters, including 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase, 1 number, and 1 special character.
Enter credit/debit card
You will receive an email confirmation stating “Your permit request has been received and is currently being reviewed. Once approved, you will receive an email with your parking permit. The parking permit will be a QR code that you will scan to enter and exit the garage/lot.”
- USM parking will review and approve your permit. Please ignore the section about needing to scan a QR code. This is NOT the case.

Where can I park?

Parking is available in either garage next to the Wishcamper building. Enter through the gate near the overhead walkway above Bedford Street. See the campus map below.

I bought a pass last semester; do I need a new one?

Passes are valid July 1 through June 30. If you purchased an annual parking pass after July 1, you do not need a new pass each semester. If you do not already have a pass, complete directions are available on our website.

How much will it cost?

Annual pass: $50, valid July 1 to June 30, paid online
Monthly pass: $10, valid for the calendar month, paid online
Hourly pass: $4.15 per hour, paid at the garage self-service kiosk

Do I need to purchase a pass before I park?

We recommend you do if you are purchasing an annual or monthly pass.

I had a pass but can’t remember my ParkEngage password. What should I do?

Contact Parking Services (opens in new window). They have a helpful form on their website.

I’m an office volunteer or faculty member. What should I do?
