The registration system for USM Professional Development Programs (PDP) is different from MaineStreet which is used for USM Academic Programs. You will access the PDP system through our enrollment system.

Registration Options

You can register for our professional development courses and certificate programs yourself. If you experience any difficulties, you can contact us and we will support you with registration.

  • Register Online
    • Browse Courses or Certificate Programs
    • Click “Enroll” at the bottom of the page
    • If this is your first time registering in this system, it will guide you to set up a profile
    • You will be able to make your payment using VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover.
    • Upon registering, you will have access to the course through the learning platform called Brightspace.
  • You may be eligible for a discount! Visit the discount page and enter the discount code in the Voucher Box during the checkout process.

Payment Options

Payment in full is required at the time of online registration. If you have a current invoice arrangement with USM Professional Development Programs (PDP), you will need to call our staff to register, 207-780-5900.

Methods of payment include:

  • Credit or Debit Card. USM accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover.
  • Check
    • Payment via a check is allowed, but needs to be done by registering through a phone call with the staff in PDP. We will hold a seat for you until payment arrives, 207-780-5900.
    • Make check payable to Professional Development Programs at USM
    • Mail check to Professional Development Programs, University of Southern Maine, P.O. Box 9300, Portland, ME 04104-9300.
  • Invoices are reserved for Affiliate companies only.

Please note, attendance will be contingent upon payment of the course or unless an agreed upon arrangement is made with the PDP staff. Transcripts and certificates will be released only when full payment is made on a course unless approved in advance.
