Sherrie De Long

Communications Supervisor De Long is a Maine native but has not lived in Maine her whole life, she left to live on the west coast during high school. She worked for Bath PD as a dispatcher and reserve police officer from 1975-1979. She served in the US Navy from 1979-1988. During this time she was a Navy photographer, specializing in crime scenes, and photojournalists. She received a certification from Syracuse University in their Military Photojournalism program.
In 1989, Comm Supervisor De Long joined the USM Public Safety team. It has been her pleasure to spend the last 30 years looking over the USM community: students, staff, faculty, and especially the men and women that make up our police department.
