Scholarships for Incoming Students

We offer generous Admission Scholarships for both in-state and out-of-state first-year undergraduates. When you apply to USM, you will be automatically considered for applicable scholarship awards. Remember, for your best financial aid package, complete your USM application and FAFSA by February 15.

Scholarships for Transfer Students

If you are considering a transfer to USM, there are a number of scholarships that may be right for you. These scholarships are available to any student who has attended a post-secondary institution directly after graduating from high school. Award amounts may vary each year and are subject to fund availability. As an NCAA Division III school, USM is prohibited from awarding scholarships based on athletic participation.

USM Financial Aid

Want to apply to USM? For the best financial aid package, complete both your FAFSA and USM application between January 1 and February 15, 2015. First-year students will be automatically considered for merit-based scholarships.

If you are a continuing student, file your FAFSA application between January 1 and February 15, 2015 — and don't forget to apply for scholarships!

If it's been 5 or more years since you were in school, USM may have a scholarship for you!

If you have ever experienced a gap in your education of 5 or more years, you may be eligible to receive up to $5,000 per year from the Osher Reentry Scholarship Endowment.

The deadline for this scholarship has been extended to Dec. 22, 2014.
